The analytical instruments business is centered around GL Sciences Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of GLTECHNO HOLDINGS, INC., and handles a wide range of products, including instruments, consumables, and reagents to support all kinds of analyses.
There are many different analytical techniques, but our business focuses on products related to chromatography. Chromatography is one of the most common separation and analysis techniques, and has the advantage of being able to accurately determine the amount of the compound you want to measure.
Liquid chromatography
GL Sciences' main product is a consumable item called a column for liquid chromatography. Advanced chemical technology is required to achieve sufficient separation performance and stable analytical results.
GL Sciences columns, which have been developed using technology and know-how cultivated over nearly 40 years, are highly regarded both in Japan and overseas.
Gas chromatography
GL Sciences is also focusing on gas chromatography, which is effective in analyzing volatile substances. In recent years, hydrogen and ammonia have been attracting attention as clean energy alternatives to fossil fuels. In research aimed at practical application, gas analysis using gas chromatography is essential.
We support such research by proposing optimal instruments and consumables, and in some cases, custom-made analytical systems.
